Overview
The School of Wonder encourages a lifelong love of learning. We believe the elementary years are about diving deep into wonderment. Our school is a nurturing environment full of respect, empowerment, and cooperation, and free of pressure and competition. Our learning environments support and represent the development of the whole child: academic, physical, ethical, social-emotional, and psychological.

We see children as active collaborators in their education, because they are capable individuals with unique backgrounds, interests, and learning styles. Therefore, our teachers implement an emergent curriculum, which means they build the curriculum as they observe the children’s interests. Emergent curriculum and project work allow students to uncover solutions themselves; to learn skills like leadership, self-direction and accountability; to think outside the box and problem solve; and to reach higher levels of thinking.

Our teachers enhance natural, creative learning by providing resources, supporting project work, and documenting the joyful process. They carefully guide the students with thought-provoking questions, allowing them to experiment in their own way, encouraging them to work with and learn from each other, and letting them make mistakes and find answers.

The School of Wonder is an open and honest forum for sharing ideas and listening to other perspectives. It is a place where children, as well as their teachers and parents, will grow and learn together.
